Going to the SharePoint Conference 2009 in Las Vegas the week of October 19-22, 2009? No? Well, are you a SharePoint person that’s going to be in the greater Vegas area? We’ll be doing another SharePoint by Day, SharePint by Night in Las Vegas at the regular conference time: the Sunday evening before the show starts: Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 7p – whenever. After you register, come join other SharePoint professionals for a good drink and banter at the EyeCandy sound and lounge bar, right in the center of the Mandalay Bay casino!

Community Kit for SharePoint (CKS)
The new vision for the Community Kit for SharePoint (CKS) is one of a long-term, community-driven project that exists alongside the official product releases from Microsoft, exploring and extending the functionality of the product while at the same time providing a set of sample applications, best practices, and reusable modules that extend and support the SharePoint community and ecosystem. Our ultimate goal is to be a primary driver and supporter of the SharePoint community as it evolves over the years.

The Community Kit for SharePoint is looking forward towards SharePoint 2010. While details cannot be released until after the 2009 SharePoint Conference, rest assured that we have a lot of exciting things under way. Stay tuned for more details in October!

SharePoint History
Before we jump in to this post, I want to thank everyone who has been with us on the journey so far and is supporting us in the release of SharePoint 2010 and feedback for releases beyond. While I will talk about the efforts that evolved into SharePoint, its origin dates to around March 1998 when we first started planning the projects that led to SharePoint. Since the first beta of the first release, we have been extremely fortunate to have your support and hear your feedback. It has been extremely rewarding to see all things you are doing with SharePoint. We have posters of many of your sites on the walls of Building 16 on the Microsoft Redmond Campus and these are a source of great motivation and pride for our team to take things to the next level. We always appreciated your ideas and feedback friendly or otherwise about where the product should go or how we could help you better. We think SharePoint 2010 will be another big step forward but we know there is more to be done and are thankful you care enough to keep pushing us.

La Project Conference 2009 à PHOENIX
en Arizona, vient de se terminer.
Du 15 au 17 Septembre, Microsoft nous a présenté les principales caractéristiques de la future version de son logiciel phare en termes de gestion de projets niveau entreprise : Project Server 2010.
La révision ou l'amélioration d'anciennes fonctionnalités, ainsi que de nombreuses nouvelles fonctionnalités, attirent l'attention et l'intérêt des nombreux participants.
Nouveautés coté "client lourd" : Project Professional 2007
Dans Project Professional 2010 nous avons relevé les nouvelles fonctionnalités suivantes. Cette liste n'est pas exhaustive !
Le ruban
La première modification que l'on remarque est bien sûr la présence du Ruban de boutons qui remplace les barres de menu, conformément à ce qui a déjà été fait dans la suite Office. Ces boutons faciliteront la prise en main du produit par les débutants.
Manual Scheduling : planification manuelle
Il s'agit ici d'une fonctionnalité entièrement nouvelle. Elle permet
