Starting to play with SharePoint PowerShell cmdlets

As you may know, SharePoint 2010 ships with Windows PowerShell. Being an automation geek, passionate by process, services and tools, I began to have a look at the INCREDIBLE possibilities brought by this architectural choice.

To start, I just retrieved the available cmdlets from SharePoint cmdlets:

Launch SharePoint 2010 Management Shell

Type Get-Command –PSSnapin Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell

Créer son thème SharePoint 2010 avec PowerPoint

Aujourd’hui c’est un petit tutoriel très simple sur l’utilisation de PowerPoint pour réaliser vos thèmes pour SharePoint 2010.
En effet, qui n’a jamais voulu se créer un petit thème rapidement pour son site SharePoint, mais que le développement et les CSS ne sont pas la langue maternelle ? Dans sa prochaine version, SharePoint propose donc un moyen très simple d’ajouter de nouveaux thèmes à vos sites sans requérir une seule ligne de code, et même plus, sans aucune notion technique.

Les paramètres linguistiques : localisation de l’interface avec SPS2010

Aujourd’hui je vais vous parler d’une fonctionnalité longtemps demandée et espérée par un grand nombre d’utilisateurs : la possibilité de changer la langue de l’interface une fois le site créé. Les sites SharePoint n’étant pas multi-langues (les variantes n’étant qu’un mécanisme proposant de la duplication de structure et de contenu) et le choix étant effectué dès leur création, il n’était jusqu’alors pas possible de proposer une autre langue que l’initiale.
