Dans sa prochaine version, SharePoint propose donc un moyen très simple d’ajouter de nouveaux thèmes à vos sites sans requérir une seule ligne de code, et même plus, sans aucune notion technique.

Single Server Complete Install of SharePoint 2010 using local accounts.

I’m testing on Windows 7 (first step is going well – just a little PB – more news in a few post) for the moment, the second way :

The complete installation on a single server using non-domain accounts. Something most developers, demonstrators and testers do a lot of suddenly requires the use of domain accounts instead of local machine accounts. Or does it....

The recommendation for a single server build of SharePoint 2010 is to use the Stand Alone installation giving you SQL express and a default configuration. But what if you want to use SQL Server 2008 and to have more control over the build, and to use local service accounts. In this case you need to use complete install and either PowerShell alone or a combination of Windows PowerShell and PSCONFIG(UI).EXE

Setting Up the Development Environment for SharePoint Server on Window 7

Windows 7 and Windows Vista cannot be used for production deployments of SharePoint 2010. If you use Windows 7 or Windows Vista for your development environment, you should have access to a test environment that has the same operating system installed as your production environment. Windows 7 and Windows Vista are recommended only for developer workstations and should only be used for stand-alone installations. You can use a separate Microsoft SQL Server instance, but you should not configure your installationas a SharePoint farm and you should not host active sites on this configuration.

The Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies 2010 Preparation Tool does not check your Microsoft SQL Server install version before Setup. The SharePoint Product and Technologies Configuration Wizard checks that you have the correct version of SQL Server after you have completed Setup.

Note:

You must download an update for Windows Server 2008 before you run Setup, or Setup will not run.

• For Windows Server 2008 with SP2, see FIX: A hotfix that provides a method to support the token authentication without transport security or message encryption in WCF is available for the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=160770).

The Beta version of the Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies 2010 Preparation Tool does not install these updates.

If you are running Windows Server 2008 with SP1, the Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies 2010 Preparation Tool installs Windows Server 2008 SP2 for you.

If you plan to use Windows Server 2008 and Windows PowerShell 1.0 is already installed, you must uninstall Windows PowerShell 1.0 before you can successfully install Windows PowerShell 2.0 CTP3.

This article provides an overview of the LINQ to SharePoint provider, which enables you to use Language Integrated Query (LINQ) queries in your Microsoft SharePoint Foundation solutions. [SharePoint 2010] Le service Visio 2010

SharePoint 2010 apporte incontestablement un grand nombre de nouveautés, parmi celles-ci l’on peut retrouver le service Visio. Les fonctions clé de ce service :

• Visualiser les fichiers Visio dans le navigateur

• Utilisation des fonctions de zoom

• Récupérerles mises à jour de données connectées au diagramme

Plus besoin d’avoir Microsoft Office Visio ou encore le Viewer Visio installé pour pouvoir bénéficier des fonctionnalités de celui-ci. Il convient juste de publier un fichier Visio dans une bibliothèque SharePoint et d’utiliser le composant Webpart Visio.

Au même titre que les Excel Services offert par la version de SharePoint 2007, les fichiers Visio peuvent désormais être visualisés directement dans le navigateur.

How will Sharepoint 2007 Customization work under Sharepoint 2010 - Windows Live

Most of us got this question .. what will happen to the custom web parts and customization we developed for Sharepoint 2007 ? .. will it work under Sharepoint 2010 or we have to reinvest in modifying them, fortunately i got these information from Microsoft :)

Dans le cadre de l’installation de SharePoint 2010, il a été précisé que cette nouvelle version du produit nécessitera un environnement totalement 64 Bits.

Ceci est totalement vrai, en effet, pour installer cette version vous aurez besoin de :

• Windows 2008 Server (R1+SP2 ou R2) X64 pour les serveurs de la ferme SharePoint
• SQL Server 2005 X64 ou SQL Server 2008 X64

Comment utiliser une base de profils MOSS 2007 avec le search de SharePoint Server 2010 , Blog de Fabrice

Dans le cadre de l’évaluation de la nouvelle version de SharePoint, on peut vouloir tester certaines parties sans forcément tout activer. De plus, certaines fonctionnalités sont toujours très sensibles dans la configuration.

Le profiling entre dans ce contexte et semble très capricieux pour sa configuration, car de nombreuses couches internes interviennent dans la notion de synchronisation des utilisateurs (basée sur Identity Lifecycle Management ce qui explique en partie la raison de Windows 2008 pour SharePoint 2010).

So from now on there should be lots of posts about what 2010 can do and how it can be used.
