SQL Server 2008 SP2 Available for Download
Both the Service Pack and Feature Pack updates are now ready for download on the Microsoft Download Center. Service Pack 2 for SQL Server 2008 includes new compatibility features with SQL Server 2008 R2, product improvements based on requests from the SQL Server community, and hotfix solutions provided in SQL Server 2008 SP1 Cumulative Updates 1 to 8.

SharePoint 2010 Beta – No longer possible to keep indexes on-line while rebuilding them

Just a quick note to make sure that anyone typing this error message into a search engine will find this post.

Due to a change in the SharePoint 2010 AllDocVersions table it is no longer possible to rebuild indexes as part of a SQL 2008 maintenance plan and keep the indexes on-line at the same time.

The reason behind this is that the MetaInfo field is no longer of type Image. It is now of type tCompressedBinary:varbinary(MAX).

If you get the error listed below then make sure you open the Rebuild Index Task in your SQL Maintenance plan and disable the ‘Keep index online while reindexing’ option.

Ce téléchargement comprend le composant WebPart Visionneuse de rapports, des pages d'application Web et la prise en charge de Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 ou d'Office SharePoint Services 2007. Nouvelles capacités :
• prise en charge multizone. Les fonctionnalités de mappage des accès de substitution de votre environnement SharePoint permettent d'accéder aux éléments de serveur de rapports à partir des zones SharePoint. Cette option est utile pour un environnement SharePoint auquel on accède à partir de plusieurs zones ;
• prise en charge de listes SharePoint. Accès aux listes SharePoint en tant que sources pour générer des rapports dans le Générateur de rapports ;
• expérience utilisateur du ruban. Rapports de groupe organisés de manière plus logique via l'extension du ruban SharePoint, simplifiant la recherche de contenus.

Remarque Le nom de logiciel référencé dans les termes du contrat de licence pour ce téléchargement est « Version préliminaire CTP de SQL Server 2008 R2 de novembre ». La période de validité du contrat est étendue du 31 décembre 2009 au 12 mars 2010.

Ceci est totalement vrai, en effet, pour installer cette version vous aurez besoin de :

Récemment Microsoft a dévoilé au grand jour les nouvelles fonctionnalités de Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010.
Rappel
Rappelons tout d'abord que Office SharePoint est un serveur collaboratif pour les entreprises qui leur permettra de centraliser les ressources, gérer les librairies de documents, automatiser un certain nombre de procédés, mettre en relation les différents acteurs de l'entreprise...
