SharePoint has for a long time been a notable absentee at the PowerShell party – but the wait is now almost over. Technical Preview of the product shared by Microsoft just a few days ago has
693some number (see my update at the bottom of the post) PowerShell cmdlets – which should (by sheer number) cover all the tasks administrators should ever want to accomplish. Stsadm and psconfig are still in the build (for backwards compatibility ) but I bet PowerShell will just take SharePoint administration by storm now.Valÿ Greavu has published this information along with a few other SharePoint 2010 tidbits and screenshots on his Romanian blog (here’s a Google Translate version).
Valÿ does not provide details or examples on the cmdlets, however, I could track some in the “Customizing the Ribbon in Windows® SharePoint® Services
